Mott holds off SC4 in MCCAA victory
PORT HURON, Mich. - The Mott Community College men's basketball team opened the MCCAA Eastern Conference scheduled on the road at St. Clair County Community College on Saturday.
The Bears held a six-point lead at the half, but the Skippers were able to move in front with just over eight minutes to play. Mott went on a 15-2 run and held on for an 81-74 victory.
The win is the seventh straight for the Bears, and moves Mott to 12-3 overall and 1-0 in the MCCAA.

Justin Mims led the Bears with 20 points on 9-of-14 shooting, while adding seven rebounds and three steals.

Kylen Clark added 17 points, including three 3-pointers.

Kimari Barden finished with 13 points, four rebounds, five assists, and two steals.

Kevin Tiggs Jr. recorded 10 points, four rebounds and two steals.

Teon Armstrong and Miles Beard each added nine points in the win.

The Bears shot 27-of-55 from the field, 9-of-20 from deep, and 18-of-24 from the line.
