Bears rally in third, hold off Jayhawks
FLINT - The Mott Community College women's basketball team heated up from deep in the third quarter to rally and eventually hold on for a win over Muskegon Community College to open play the Mott Roundball Classic on Friday at the Ballenger Fieldhouse.
The Bears hit five 3-pointers in the third, outsourcing the Jayhawks 26-9. Muskegon rallied late to tie the game with 10 seconds remaining, but Arie Lewis was fouled late and hit one of two free throws to secure the 65-64 victory. The win moves Mott to 7-4 overall this season.

Ella Prevost led the Bears with 22 points hitting four 3-pointers. She added eight rebounds and four assists.

Lewis finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds for a double-double, while adding three blocks.

Anna Prevost scored 13 points, while Chloe Thompson added eight points and seven rebounds.

The Bears shot 20-of-71 from the field, 9-of-25 from deep, and 16-of-24 at the line.

Mott forced 22 Muskegon turnovers.
