DEARBORN, Mich. - On a beautiful spring day, the Mott Community College baseball team returned to action with an MCCAA doubleheader against Henry Ford College on Saturday.
The Bears took game one in extra innings 5-4, while the Hawks evened the matchup with a 4-0 victory in the finale. The split moves Mott to 14-12 overall and 6-5 in the MCCAA.
Game One Highlights:

Quinn Schultz finished with two hits, including a double, and two RBIs.

Ethan Willis added two hits, while Charles Chmielewskiadded a pair of RBIs.

Gavin Balius and Max Charlton each recorded a hit in the win.

Cameron Schuster got the start and tossed four innings, allowing three runs, two earned, on three hits, walking three and striking out four.

Cole Schmidt got the win in relief, pitching two scoreless and hitless innings, walking one and striking out one.

The Bears were held to five hits in the loss with Schultz recording a double.

Balius, Chmielewski, Vechazone, and Benjamin Korson each added a hit.

Brandon Smith tossed all six innings for the Bears, allowing four runs on eight hits, walking one and striking out six.
