FLINT, Mich. - The Mott Community College baseball team continued the MCCAA season with a doubleheader against Macomb Community College on Sunday at home.
The Bears fell in the opening game 12-0 in five innings, but rallied in the finale to top the Monarchs 15-5, scoring seven times in the fifth to close out the contest. The split moves Mott to 17-15 overall and 9-8 in the MCCAA.
Game One Highlights:

Gavin Balius finished with a hit and a stolen base.

Conner Egert, Charles Chmielewski, Brennen Vechazone, Ethan Wills, Benjamin Korson, and Tobias Ransley each added a hit.

After Macomb scored 10 runs in the first, Peyton Jackson came in and pitched 4.2 innings, allowing two runs on six hits, walking three and striking out three.
Game Two Highlights:

Quinn Schultz finished with three hits, two doubles, four RBIs, and a run scored.

Max Charlton added three hits, two runs, an RBI, and a walk.

Vechazone recorde three hits including a double, two runs, and two RBIs.

Michael Jockwig pitched all five innings, earning the win. He allowed five runs on nine hits, walking one and striking out three.
