Mott sweeps SC4 in pair of DHs

FLINT, Mich. - After taking two on the road from St. Clair County Community College on Thursday, the Mott Community College baseball team made it four in a row over the Skippers with a home doubleheader sweep on Friday in Flint. 

The Bears scored eight in the first innings cruised to a 10-0 win in the opener. Mott jumped out in front again in game two, and held on for a 9-4 win. The sweep moved the Bears to 23-15 overall and 13-8 in the MCCAA.  

Game One Highlights: 

• William Case tossed all five innings for the complete game shutout. He allowed just one hit and struck out four. 

• Benjamin Korson was 3-for-3 with a double, two runs scored, and an RBI.

• Gavin Balius added two hits, including a double, while recording two runs, two stolen bases and an RBI.

• Max Charlton hit a double and finished with two RBIs. 

Game Two Highlights:

• Quinn Schultz recorded two hits, a double, scored once and drove in one run. 

• Balius added two hits, two runs, and an RBI. 

• Ethan Wills finished with two hits. 

• Eagan Demers stole two bases as a pinch runner. 

• Cameron Schuster got the win, starting and tossing four innings. He allowed three runs, one earned, on three hits, walking five, and striking seven.
