Jets take two from Bears

JACKSON, Mich. - The Mott Community College baseball team dropped two games to Jackson Community College, snapping the team's nine-game win streak, on the road on Thursday.

After Mott  jumped out to a four-run lead in the first, the Jets scored six unanswered runs to take the opener 6-4. The Bears were held to one run in the finale, falling 6-1. The losses drop Mott to 25-17 overall and 13-10 in the MCCAA. 

Game One Highlights:

• Benjamin Korson went 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored, and three RBIs.

• Quinn Schultz added a hit, a run scored, and a stolen base.

• Peyton Jackson was strong in relief, tossing three scoreless innings, allowing one hit and one walk. 

Game Two Highlights:

• Charles Chmielewski provided the lone run for the Bears with a home run in the fourth.

• Max Charlton went 2-for-4 with a stolen base.

• Cameron Schuster took the loss on the mound, pitching two innings, allowing two runs on four hits, walking two and striking out one.

The Bears welcome the Jets for a doubleheader starting at 1 pm on Saturday in Flint.
