HOWELL, Mich. - The Mott Community College baseball team played its first games of the season in the state of Michigan, hosting Grand Rapids Community College on Saturday at Cleary University in Howell, Mich.
NOTE: The game was moved from Flint to Cleary due to weather conditions.
The Bears mercied the Raiders in five innings in both contests. Mott took game one 14-4 and earned the sweep with a 9-1 win in the finale. The wins extend Mott's streak to five games and the Bears are 5-8 heading into the MCCAA Eastern Conference season.
Game One Highlights:

Benjamin Korson was 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, four RBIs, four runs scored, and a stolen base.

Ethan Wills added a home run, two hits, one run, and three RBIs.

Tobias Ransley was 3-for-3, including a double, with two runs, and two RBIs.

Ryan Metz and Nathan McDonald each finished with two hits and two runs scored.

Carson Haddad (1-0) got the win on the mound, tossing four innings, allowing four runs on five hits, walking three and striking out three.

Aidan Cassidy pitched a scoreless inning of relief, allowing one hit and striking out two.

Metz was 3-for-4 with a triple, two RBIs, and two runs scored.

Willis had two hits, including a triple, three RBIs, and a run scored.

Luke Trotter added two hits, a run, and an RBI.

Korson finished with a hit, two runs, two steals, and an RBI.

Michael Jockwig (1-1) earned the win, going four innings, allowing one run on six hits, and striking out four.

Darion Amico pitched one scoreless inning, allowing a hit and a walk.
