Trotter named MCCAA Player of the Week
FLINT - The Mott Community College baseball team has won five straight games including a pair of sweeps over Edison State Community College and Grand Rapids Community College.
Luke Trotter led the Bears to the wins and earned MCCAA Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors for the first time.
The Grand Blanc, Mich., native went 11-for-15 with two triples, two home runs, 13 RBIs, two walks, and two steals. He batted .733 with a 1.400 slugging percentage in the five games. Int he field he added 20 put outs and helped turn a pair of double plays.
The Bears open the MCCAA Eastern Conference schedule against Macomb Community College at 2 pm today at the Ernie Myers Baseball Diamond in Flint.
