Jockwig named MCCAA Pitcher of the Week

FLINT - For the first time this season, Mott Community College's Michael Jockwig has been named the MCCAA Eastern Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week. 

Jockwig pitched seven shutout innings against St. Clair County Community College last week. The Orion Township, Mich., native allowed just two hits, while walking three and striking out four in a 6-0 win for the Bears. 

For the season, Jockwig is 2-1 in four appearances with 14 innings, a 3.21 ERA, and 15 strikeouts.
