Bio
Roger took over the reins of the Bear Baseball program in 2014, after serving as an assistant coach the previous year. He hails from Clio, Michigan, where he went to high school and played baseball.  After his high school baseball career ended, he chose to continue his academic and athletic career at Mott Community College. He is a proud graduate of Mott and passionately expresses to all what the institution means to him. 
 
After Mott, he was earned the opportunity to continue his academic and athletic career at Tiffin university under two great Head Coaches, Coach Allen and Coach Wilkins. He was named team captain both his Sophomore year at Mott and Senior year at Tiffin. His awards during his playing career are highlighted by multiple Academic All-Excellence teams and winning the NJCAA Division II National Gold Glove Award his Freshman year at Mott. 
 
On top of being the Head Baseball Coach, his full-time job is as Student Success Coach in the Student Success Services Division at the college. At this time he currently resides in Linden with his wife Kacie, who also was a Mott Community College student athlete on the softball team during Roger’s playing career, daughters Kinsely and Wrenley, and an Australian Shepherd, Gryffin.
