Mims leads All-MCCAA honors for Mott men

FLINT - The MCCAA announced its 2024-25 Men's Basketball postseason awards earlier this week with three Mott Community College student-athletes receiving honors. 

Justin Mims was named the All-MCCAA Eastern Conference Third Team and the All-Freshman Team. The Augusta, Ga., native averaged 13.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, two assists, and 1.1 steals per game for the Bears. He shot 47.7 percent from the field. 

Kevin Tiggs Jr. and Teon Armstrong were both named All-MCCAA Honorable Mentions. Tiggs Jr. averaged 15 points, 7.3 rebounds, and one steal per game. Armstrong, the lone sophomore on the team, recorded 11.3 points, 3.2 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.
