Bio
Kevin Tiggs is entering his sixth season as an assistant coach for the Bears.  Kevin graduated from Flint Northern High School (2004) and in 2006 enrolled at Mott CC.  Through his tireless work ethic, athleticism and unparalleled energy, he became one of the top players that Coach Schmidt has developed.  Tiggs led the Bears to the 2007 NJCAA National Championship.  He was named a first team All-American, and was recognized as the NJCAA Division II National Player of the Year.  Kevin signed with East Tennessee State University and helped lead the program to a conference championship and earn an opportunity to compete in March Madness.  He then had a very productive professional career overseas that took him to Ukraine, Australia, France, Germany, Cyprus and Finland.  Tiggs played over 10 years professionally before returning home to assist Coach Schmidt and the Mott Bear program.

Coach Steve Schmidt - "Kevin is the most positive person who I have ever coached.  He has never had a bad day, and is an inspiration for our players and staff to be around.  But, don't be fooled by him being a nice guy...  He is one of the most competitive and driven individuals that I have worked with.  He is the epitome of a WINNER. What I respect so much about Kevin is how loyal he is.  I wish he had another year of eligibility left, but will settle for him coaching alongside me."
