DEARBORN, Mich. - Ten games into the MCCAA season, the Mott Community College Softball team sits at the top of the Eastern Division standings after a doubleheader sweep of Henry Ford College on Saturday.
The Bears cruised to a 11-3 win in the opener in six innings and closed out the sweep with a 6-0 shutout in the finale. The wins pushed Mott to 17-7 overall and 9-1 in the MCCAA.
Game One Highlights:

Taryn Murphy went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, two RBIs, and three runs scored.

Claire Ouellette added a home run, two hits, and two runs scored.

Emma Benner and Amya Brown each recorded two hits, while Khloe Willimas added a double and two RBIs.

Magie Boehm got the win, pitching 5.1 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out 10.
Game Two Highlights:

Joey Newton got the start on the mound and pitched 4.1 scoreless innings in the win. She allowed five hits, walked two and struck out seven.

Boehm pitched the final 2.2 innings in relief, allowing one hit and added four strikeouts.

Hannah Bollinger had a team-high three hits.

Benner hit a home run and finished with two RBIs.

Heaven Withers, Cassie Sylvester, Ouellette, and Brown each recorded two hits.
