WARREN, Mich. - The Mott Community College softball team got a little closer to an MCCAA Eastern Conference title after a split with second-place Macomb Community College on Saturday.
The Bears took game one easily, topping the Monarchs 11-1 in five innings. Macomb answered back in the finale with an 8-2 win. The split moved Mott to 30-10 overall and 22-4 in the MCCAA. The Bears are now four games up on the Monarchs, heading into the final week of the regular season. Mott has four games on the schedule, while Macomb has six left to play.
Game One Highlights:

Cassie Sylvester went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs.

Claire Ouellette, the reigning MCCAA Eastern Player of the Week, added two hits, one run, one RBI, and a walk.

Emma Benner finished with two hits, two RBIs, and a run scored.

Maggie Boehm pitched all five innings, allowing one run on three hits, walking four, and striking out five.
