FLINT, Mich. - The Mott Community College softball team returned to its winning ways in the final home doubleheader of the regular season, sweeping Oakland Community College on Saturday.
The Bears rolled in both games, taking the opener 16-2 and the finale 12-2, both in five innings. The sweep clinched the outright regular season MCCAA Eastern Conference Regular Season championship for Mott, the team's first since 2018.
The Bears enter the final two games of the regular season with a record of 32-10 overall and 24-4 in the MCCAA.
Game One Highlights:

Mott scored seven in the first inning to put the game away early.

Emma Benner hit a pair of home runs, finishing with three hits, three runs, and six RBIs.

Taryn Murphy added three hits, two runs, two RBIs, and a walk.

Hannah Bollinger recorded three hits, including a double, two runs, and an RBI.

Maggie Boehm (20-3) got the start and the win. She pitched three scoreless innings, allowing one hit, and striking out three.

Joey Newton (6-3) pitched all five innings, allowing two runs on seven hits, walking one.
