MARYSVILLE, Mich. - The Mott Community College softball team completed the regular season with a doubleheader against St. Clair County Community College on Sunday.
The Bears dropped game one 6-4, before earning a split with an 11-3 victory in the finale to head into the postseason with a record of 33-11 overall and 25-5 in the MCCAA.
Game One Highlights:

Claire Ouellette finished with a hit, run scored, RBI, two walks.

Joey Newton added a hit and two RBIs.

Khloe Williams recorded a hit, run scored and an RBI.

Eva Opper started on the mound, tossing 4.2 innings, allowing five runs, two earned, on nine hits, and walking one.

Maggie Boehm pitched 1.1 innings, allowing one run on two hits, and struck out one.
Game Two Highlights:

Emma Benner continued to show her power with her fourth home run of the weekend. She finished with two hits, a run scored and four RBIs.

Megan Widner added a home run, finishing with two hits, three runs scored, and three RBIs.

Cassie Sylvester recorded two hits and two runs.

Hannah Bollinger added two hits and an RBI.

Newton got the start and the win, pitching 4.1 innings, allowing three runs on 10 hits, walking one and striking out three.

Boehm pitched the final 1.2 innings, allowing two hits and no runs, while striking out three.
