Northeast snaps Mott streak in pitching duel
CLERMONT, Fla. - The Mott Community College softball team concluded its spring trip to Florida with a single game against Northeast Community College on Thursday.
The bats were stifled at the plate, as the Bears were held to a single hit in a 3-0 loss. The result snaps a six-game win streak and drops Mott to 7-4 this season.

Carley Hoover had the lone hit for the Bears.

Heaven Helkowski and Emma Benner each reached base on a walk. Helkowski added a stolen base.

Maggie Boehm (4-2) took the loss, allowing three runs, two earned, on three hits, while striking out two in three innings.

Arika Hines tossed four scoreless innings in relief, allowing one hit and walking one.
NOTE: Mott was scheduled to take on Northland Community and Technical College on Thursday, however the game was canceled shortly before the scheduled start time.
