WATERFORD, Mich. - Mott Community College softball continued its dominance of the MCCAA Eastern Conference with a sweep of Oakland Community College on the road on Saturday.
The Bears pounded 19 hits and scored nine times in the fourth to secure a 17-7 win in five innings in the opener. Tied late in game two, Mott scored three in the sixth and a pair in the seventh to take the finale 8-3.
The sweep extends the Mott win streak to 15 games. The Bears are 24-5 overall and 17-1 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference.
Game One Highlights:

Eight Bears finished with multiple hits in the win.

Khloe Williams had two home runs, three runs scored, five RBIs, and a walk.

Reigning MCCAA Player of the Week Keira McGarvie added three hits, including a home run. She finished with two RBIs, three runs, and a walk.

Emma Benner added two hits including a home run.

Arika Hines, Cassie Sylvester, Carley Hoover, Alexis Hemker, and Heaven Helkowski all added two hits in the win.

Maggie Boehm (12-3) got the win in relief, tossing 2.2 scoreless innings, allowing two hits, walking one and striking out three.
Game Two Highlights:

Benner hit her second home run of the day and seventh of the season, finishing with three hits, three RBIs, and a run scored.

Sylvester added three hits, two RBIs, and a run scored.

Helkowski recorded two hits, including a home run, while scoring twice, driving in three, and stealing three bases.

Boehm (13-3) tossed the complete game, allowing three runs on 10 hits, while walking one and striking out three.
