FORT WAYNE, Ind. - For the first time in three weeks the Mott Community College softball team dropped a contest, snapping a 15-game win streak. However the Bears took game two from the Indiana Tech JV team to earn a split on Sunday in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Mott rallied with five runs in the fourth inning of game one to take a two-run lead, but the Warriors scored six in the sixth to move in front and held on for a 13-9 win. Down two heading to the seventh of game two, the Bears scored six times to move in front and held off a rally by the home team to escape with a 10-9 win.
The split moved Mott to 25-6 overall this season.
Game One Highlights:

Cassie Sylvester went 4-for-5 with a double, two runs, and one RBI.

Keira McGarvie added two hits, two RBIs, two runs, and two steals.

Josie Spencer had two doubles and two RBIs.

Maggie Boehm (13-4) pitched the complete game and took the loss.

Eva Opper (1-0) got the win, pitching all seven innings, allowing nine runs, seven earned, on 10 hits, while walking six and striking out three.
