FLINT - The MCCAA Eastern Conference champion Mott Community College softball team closed the regular season with a pair of home doubleheaders last weekend.
The Bears split a pair of doubleheaders, starting against Oakland Community College on Friday. Mott allowed six unearned runs in a 6-4 loss to open against the Owls, but salvaged a split with an 8-0 win in game two.
St. Clair County Community College used a seventh inning home run to take the opener 2-1 on Saturday. The offense woke up for the Bears in game two, as Mott rolled to an 11-2 win. The results moved Mott to 36-9 overall and 27-3 in the MCCAA.

Heaven Helkowski recorded three hits and a stolen base.

Keira McGarvie and Carly Hoover each recorded two hits, a double, and an RBI.

Josie Spencer added two hits and a run scored, while Alexis Hemker recorded two hits, one RBI, and a run scored.

Arika Hines (15-3) took the loss despite not allowing an earned run. She went 4.1 innings, allowing five unearned on three hits, walking two and striking out one.
