Mott goes 4-for-4 at Raider Challenge

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Mott Community College volleyball team stepped outside of the MCCAA Eastern Conference for four matches over the weekend at the Raider Challenge hosted by Grand Rapids Community College. 

The Bears swept all four matches, starting with sweeps against Kalamazoo Valley Community College and Southwestern Michigan on Saturday. Mott rallied from two sets down against Carl Sandburg College for a five-set win to open play on Sunday and closed the weekend with a sweep of Glen Oaks Community College. 

The current 13-game win streak has pushed Mott to 17-4 overall this season. 

Highlights vs. KVCC:

• Ruby Earl led the offense with 15 kills.

• Princess Savage added 10 kills, while Montgomery Rotter finished with seven kills and 14 digs. 

• Chloe Vanwinkle recorded a team-high 18 digs. 

• Chloe Wright added nine figs. 

• Skylar Cramer finished with 39 assists. 

Highlights vs. Southwestern:

• Vanwinkle recorded 16 kills and 12 digs, both team highs.

• Savage added eight kills and four total blocks. 

• Cramer finished with 36 assists and 11 digs. 

Highlights vs. CSC:

• Vanwinkle matched her career high in kills with 23, adding 13 digs. 

• Cramer recorded 52 assists and 15 digs. 

• Courtney Nye added seven kills and five total blocks. 

• Earl had 14 kills, 10 digs, and three total blocks. 

• Savage finished with nine kills, while Brooklynn Wilcox and Chloe Wright added 12 and 10 digs, respectively. 

Highlights vs. Glen Oaks:

• Rotter led the Bears with 12 kills and 12 digs. 

• Earl added 10 kills and 12 digs. 

• Cramer finished with 35 assists.
