Vanwinkle wins second straight MCCAA honor
FLINT - The Mott Community College volleyball team continued to roll last week with a 6-0 record, extending its win streak to 13 matches.
Chloe Vanwinkle led the Mott offense and was named the MCCAA Eastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week for a second straight time.
The freshman from Clio, Mich., recorded a career-high 23 kills in two matches, including wins over St. Clair County Community College and Carl Sandburg College. She added 16 kills in a win over Southwestern Michigan.
In 21 matches, Vanwinkle has 230 kills and is averaging 3.29 per set.
The Bears return to action against Macomb Community College at 7 pm on Wednesday at the Ballenger Field House.
