Mott battles Jackson for 5-set win
JACKSON, Mich. - The Mott Community College volleyball team survived a five-set battle with Jackson College for a 15th straight win on the road Monday.
After dropping the first set 32-30, the Bears answered with wins in the next two, 25-22 and 25-15. The Jets responded with a 25-23 win in the fourth to set up a deciding fifth set. Mott held on for the win 15-12 to improve to 19-4 overall and 8-0 in the MCCAA.
Mott Highlights:

Ruby Earl led the offense with 27 kills and a .305 hitting percentage. She added seven digs and an ace.

Three-time reigning MCCAA Eastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week Chloe Vanwinkle added 14 kills and 12 digs.

Montgomery Rotter recorded 10 kills and 18 digs, while Princess Savage added 10 kills and two block assists.

Courtney Nye finished with eight kills and two block assists.

Skylar Cramer had 59 assists and 23 digs, both season highs for the Mott setter.

Brooklyn Wilcox recorded 14 digs and three service aces, while Chloe Wright added 10 digs.

Tessa Szamiel finished with six digs and an ace.
