Earl claims MCCAA weekly honor
FLINT - For the fourth consecutive week the MCCAA Eastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week award goes to the Mott Community College volleyball team.
Ruby Earl led the Bears to a pair of wins last week with 43 kills (5.38 per set) with a .326 hitting percentage. She added 21 digs, two service aces, and one block. For the season, the Howell, Mich., native has 320 kills, averaging 3.72 per set.
The award is the fourth straight for the Bears after Chloe Vanwinkle took the past three honors.
The Bears clinched the MCCAA Eastern Conference championships with a win over Oakland Community College on Monday. Mott wraps up the regular season with two more matches, starting against Henry Ford College at 7 pm on Wednesday at the Ballenger Field House.
