Cramer claims MCCAA Offensive Player of the Week
FLINT - The Mott Community College volleyball team earned its fifth straight MCCAA Eastern Conference Offensive Player of the Week award, with setter Skylar Cramer taking the weekly honor.
Cramer led the Bears to a pair of three-set wins last week starting with 30 assists against Oakland Community College, followed by 42 in the team's final home game against Henry Ford College.
The Grand Blanc, Mich., native surpassed the 1,000 assist mark for the season and has 1,052 heading into the postseason. Cramer is third in the NJCAA Division II with 10.85 assists per set. In addition she has 260 digs in 27 matches played.
Cramer's award follows Ruby Earl last week, with the three prior honors going to Chloe Vanwinkle.
The Bears head to the MCCAA Championship Tournament to take on No. 12 Grand Rapids Community College at 12 pm on Saturday in Lansing, Mich.
