Earl, Vanwinkle named NJCAA All-Americans
FLINT - The Mott Community College volleyball team completed an outstanding season at the NJCAA National Tournament last month and picked up two more postseason honors.
Ruby Earl (First Team) and Chloe Vanwinkle (Second Team) were named to the NJCAA DII All-American Teams.
Earl, the MCCAA Player of the Year, finished the season with 468 kills (3.55 per set) to lead the Mott offense. She added 261 digs and 39 total blocks on defense.
Vanwinkle, the MCCAA Freshman of the Year, recorded 459 kills (3.70 per set), adding 404 digs and 28 total blocks.
The Bears finished the season 28-8 overall, a perfect 12-0 in the MCCAA Eastern Conference, winning the Great Lakes District A Championship and earning a spot in the NJCAA National Tournament.
