Bio
Head Women’s Cross Country Coach Jordann (McDermitt) Jennings took over the program in January of 2024. She is a native of Davison, Michigan.  While attending Davison High School she was an academic, cross country and track standout all four years.  She was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated top 10 in her class.  Her athletic accomplishments were just as impressive with a personal best of 18:06 in cross country; and, earned All State honors for the 1600m and 3200m.  This record breaking at Davison,  led to an athletic scholarship to Eastern Michigan University.

While attending and competing at EMU for four years, the record breaking did not stop.  She ran cross country and Indoor/Outdoor track winning nearly every award an athlete could, including:  MAC Track Athlete of the Week recognition, MAC Championship titles, and most notably, she was recognized as a 2 x NCAA All American.  She also holds the EMU institution record for the 5000m with a time of 15:43.  And she accomplished these accolades while earning nearly every academic award offered as well, including being named a MAC Distinguished Scholar and an Academic All American.

Prior to coaching at Mott, Jordann was leading the middle school cross country program at her alma mater, and starting her family with her high school sweetheart.   They now have three children and enjoy spending their free time together engaging in outdoor activities and going up north.
